KEY MESSAGES: - Warm and dry again Sunday due to a ridge of high pressure - Cold front brings precipitation and breezy winds on Monday. Cooler and wet late Monday into Wednesday, especially in north central Idaho - Warming and drying returns Thursday and Friday High pressure allows for continued warm and dry through early Monday afternoon. Monday is a day of transition as a cold front moves through from west to east. The cold front will bring breezy southwest to west winds, increased cloud cover and shower activity. In fact, a few locations could see afternoon thunderstorms develop, mainly across southwest Montana and Lemhi County. Snow levels will lower Tuesday morning down to around 4500 feet, allowing for some light snowfall on mountain passes. Cooler temperatures (though actually normal for this time of year) are anticipated with breezy southwest to west winds. A lake wind advisory may be needed for Tuesday due to gusty winds causing choppy conditions on Flathead Lake. High pressure is expected to return by Thursday and Friday, continuing the "ride" on the Spring rollercoaster.
