Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... Modest northerly winds will gradually weaken into the evening as high pressure around 30.1 inches moves from northern Minnesota to northern Lake Michigan by this evening. The high will then move to the Mid Atlantic States by Friday night while low pressure around 29.8 inches moves into the Upper Mississippi River Valley. Thus light to modest northeast winds this evening will become light and variable late tonight into Friday evening. Light to modest southerly winds will then develop Saturday morning ahead of the approaching weak low with winds turning northerly again after the lows passage by Saturday evening. Light to modest northeast winds will then prevail late Saturday night into Sunday while another high pressure area around 30.1 inches sets up over Lake Superior.
