Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... Low pressure around 29.8 inches in the lee of the Colorado Rockies will bring a warm front and scattered thunderstorms across the north half of the lake today. Meanwhile, thunderstorms currently over the Mississippi Valley will push eastward through the southern half midday into the afternoon. Winds become southwesterly as the showers and storms end by mid-afternoon, then become northerly behind a cold front tracking north to south this afternoon and evening. A few thunderstorms are also possible along this front. High pressure around 30.0 inches will settle back into the region on Sunday, slowly departing into Monday and shifting winds to easterly. A low pressure trough around 29.8 inches will cross the Upper Midwest on Tuesday, bringing southeasterly winds and additional chances for thunderstorms.
