At 645 AM AST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and frequent lightning. These thunderstorm were located over the Caribbean and Atlantic waters, as well as the local Caribbean passages, moving north-northwest at 10 knots. Additional thunderstorms can develop through the rest of the morning hours across the coastal waters of the islands. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. $$
