FNUS75 KSLC 091527 FWSSLC Spot Forecast for Burnt Beaver RX...US Forest Service National Weather Service Salt Lake City UT 927 AM MDT Wed Apr 9 2025 Forecast is based on ignition time of 1005 MDT on April 09. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...Increasing influence of high pressure will yield stable and dry conditions with warming temperatures into the weekend. For Wednesday afternoon though, faster mid level flow passing through overhead will result in some modestly strong gusts mixing down, generally up to around 35 mph or so. As the ridge associated with the high pressure continues to build in, winds will trend a bit lighter and less gusty, with more periods of variability possible. On a longer term outlook, the mid range (out to 10 days or so) range favors above normal temperatures and drier conditions. Model guidance does suggest potential for a mostly dry cold front passing by on Sunday with enhanced breezy conditions, another period of ridging/high pressure through midweek, and then some semblance of another system late in the work week. This general pattern then seems to remain favored to hold thereafter into the longer range, with potential for some weaker systems, but overall milder/drier than normal conditions favored. .REST OF TODAY...
