Subject: Operational transition of the GOES-19 satellite to become
	      GOES-East on or after April 7... 2025

Effective: April 7... 2025 1510Z

On or after April 7... 2025... at approximately 15:10 UTC...
GOES-19... the
newest satellite in the
Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite /GOES/ series, will
become the operational
GOES-East satellite... replacing GOES-16.

As of that date... all data products from GOES-19 will permanently
replace
those
from GOES-16 on the Satellite Broadcast Network (SBN). This is
outlined
within the
following NWS SCN:

In addition to changes to the GOES products flowing over the SBN...
any
WMO-headed GOES-16
products that flow to GTS customers will be replaced with WMO-headed
GOES-19 products. No
changes to the WMO headers are expected as GOES-19 will use the same
headers as were used
for GOES-16 based products.
