Over 20 homes in the Branches neighborhood had roof and minor structure damage. The tornado crossed into northwestern Marion County where EF-1 damage occurred including downed trees in Eagle Creek Park before the tornado lifted about a mile north of the I-65 and I-465 interchange. 0928 PM Tornado 3 WSW Carmel 39.96N 86.15W 04/02/2025 Hamilton IN NWS Storm Survey An EF-1 tornado with peak winds of 105 mph and a path length of 6.60 miles tracked in an east-northeasterly direction through mainly southeastern portions of the Carmel area...from near 116th Street and Pennsylvania Street to 146th Street and Community Drive. Roof and siding damage to homes and apartments was common with also window damage to office buildings and downed trees. Damage was at times inconsistent with breaks of one quarter to one third mile. 0943 PM Tornado 2 S Lapel 40.04N 85.84W 04/02/2025 Madison IN NWS Storm Survey An EF-2 tornado with peak winds of 125 mph and a path length of 2.15 miles tracked in a north-northeasterly direction across southeastern portions of the Lapel area. A farmhouse and several outbuildings sustained significant damage with debris strewn to the northeast for over a mile. 0946 PM Tornado 1 NW Lapel 40.08N 85.86W 04/02/2025 Madison IN NWS Storm Survey An EF-1 tornado with peak winds of 110 mph and a path length of 11.57 miles tracked in an overall northeasterly direction from where it likely started in a field north of the Fishersburg community to about 4 miles north of Anderson. A farm north of Lapel had several barns and a grain silo damaged with an L-shaped pole barn destroyed. Sporadic damage occurred along the remaining 11 miles of the torando track. 0957 PM Tornado 5 E Linwood 40.19N 85.59W 04/02/2025 Madison IN NWS Storm Survey An EF-2 tornado with peak winds of 125 mph and a path length of 15.15 miles was spawned near the Moonville community in far east-central Madison County where it caused significant damage to a 2-story house and completely destroyed 3 old and weakly-anchored outbuildings. Soon after the circulation crossed into Delaware County where sporadic and mainly EF-1 damage occurred. The tornado tracked over a curving yet overall northeasterly path that ended about 1 mile northwest of the Shideler community. && $$
