North Sea coast
The North Sea is ice-free.

Western Baltic Sea
In sheltered areas east of Travemuende and the western Schlei melting
ice may be found. In the Bodden waters south of Darss and Zingst and
in sheltered places around Ruegen there is melting ice.

Southern Baltic Sea
On the Peenestrom there is thin ice with varying concentration. In
the western part of the Szczecin Lagoon, there is close to very close
ice in the north and open water in the south.

Outlook
Ice melt will continue the coming days. In the eastern part some ice
remnants may stay over the weekend. With mostly southerly winds, the
ice in the western part of the Szczecin Lagoon will stay along the
northern shore.
