Warning for the following rivers in North Carolina...

  Tar River At Tarboro affecting Edgecombe County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Tar River at Tarboro.

* WHEN...From late tonight to Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. The Riverside Park 
  and River Road at the US64 bridge flood.
  At 20.0 feet, Lowland flooding begins south of Daniel Street in 
  east Tarboro.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:15 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 17.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tonight to a crest of 21.0 feet early Friday morning. It
    will then fall below flood stage Saturday evening.
  - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    20.9 feet on 02/22/1995.
