Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen since yesterday. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly through the upper French Broad Basin. Developing flooding of low-lying areas along the French Broad proper from upstream of Rosman to past Brevard is likely. Tributaries such as the East Fork French Broad, Davidson River and Little River will also flood.
