...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northwestern
McDuffie, northwestern Columbia, Lincoln and McCormick Counties
through 1115 AM EDT...

At 1051 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles west of Lincolnton, or 8 miles east of Washington, moving
northeast at 55 mph.

Boaters on Lake Strom Thurmond Should Seek Safe Harbor. 

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects.

Bordeaux, Parksville, Winfield, Modoc, Scott's Landing, Knox Scout
Reservation, Double Branches, Fishing Creek Public Hunting Area,
Curry Hill, Wildwood Park, Clarks Hill Recreation Area, Modoc Boat
Ramp, Eubank-Blanchard Community Center, Plum Branch, Bussey Point
Campground, New Hope, J. Strom Thurmond Dam, Long Cane Creek Picnic
Area, Elijah Clark State Park, and Hickory Knob State Resort Park.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
