PARISHES IN SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA AND SOUTHWESTERN HANCOCK
COUNTIES...

At 517 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles southeast of Pearlington to near Shell Beach,
moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
New Orleans, East New Orleans, Lake Catherine, Pearlington, and
Lakefront Airport.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 239 and 256.
 Interstate 510 between mile markers 1 and 3.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If on or near areas of water, get away and move to safe shelter
immediately. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be
struck by lightning. Severe thunderstorms can produce large capsizing
waves, even on small bodies of water. Move into dock and seek safe
shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
