...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL GARFIELD AND
SOUTHWESTERN RIO BLANCO COUNTIES THROUGH 130 PM MDT...

At 1253 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 23
miles south of Rangely, or 47 miles north of Grand Junction, moving
east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Meeker and Rio Blanco.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to 
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded 
roadways.
