...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN HART...CENTRAL
ANDERSON...SOUTHEASTERN PICKENS AND SOUTHEASTERN OCONEE COUNTIES
THROUGH 600 PM EDT...

At 532 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Clemson to 10 miles
south of Seneca. Movement was east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Anderson, Clemson, Easley, Central, Northlake, Pendleton, Reed Creek,
Anderson Airport, Lake Hartwell, and Liberty.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

If on or near Lake Hartwell, get out of the water and move indoors 
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles 
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close 
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not 
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

Heavy downpours are also occurring with these storms and may lead to 
localized ponding of water on roadways. Slow down and use extra 
caution while driving through a downpour.
