...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of northwestern
Whiteside, western Carroll, southeastern Jo Daviess, northwestern
Scott, Clinton, Jackson, southeastern Dubuque, northeastern Cedar and
southeastern Jones Counties through 915 AM CDT...

At 831 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Zwingle to Wheatland. Movement was east at
40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Strong winds could break small tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Clinton, Maquoketa, DeWitt, Savanna, Bellevue, Stockton, Preston,
Hanover, Lowden, Wheatland, Elizabeth, Grand Mound, Woodbine, Sabula,
Delmar, Lost Nation, Miles, Calamus, Andrew, and Bennett.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is occurring and may lead to localized flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 AM CDT for
east central Iowa.
