...SCATTERED SLOW-MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS FAR NORTHERN 
ILLINOIS...

At 748 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking multiple slow-moving 
scattered thunderstorms across far northern Illinois. Additional 
storms are expected to develop across the Special Weather Statement 
area.

HAZARD...Localized wind gusts up to 50 mph, frequent lightning, and 
         torrential downpours.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Torrential downpours may lead to 
         localized flooding of low-lying areas.

Locations that may be impacted include... 

Forreston, Byron, Rockford, Belvidere, Kirkland, Rochelle,  Crystal 
Lake, Mundelein, Arlington Heights, and Elgin. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
