Patchy dense fog has formed across areas northeast of I-74 and in far southeast IL, and will see more dense fog develop along and east of a Galesburg to Lincoln to Effingham line through daybreak. The visibility may fall to a quarter mile or less at times early this morning, leading to potentially hazardous travel conditions. The fog should burn off between 8 and 9 am. Be sure to slow down if you encounter dense fog and allow extra time to reach your destination.
