...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN BEAUREGARD AND
NORTHWESTERN CALCASIEU PARISHES...SOUTHWESTERN NEWTON AND
NORTHEASTERN ORANGE COUNTIES THROUGH 330 PM CDT...

At 239 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Forest Heights, or near Deweyville, moving north at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Orange, Vinton, Deweyville, Starks, Wrights Settlement, Devils
Pocket, Lunita, Hartburg, Forest Heights, and Toomey.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
