...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN RABUN...SOUTHEASTERN
MACON AND NORTH CENTRAL OCONEE COUNTIES THROUGH 230 PM EDT...

At 205 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 14 miles north of Walhalla to 8 miles northeast
of Clayton. These storms were nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Sky Valley, Highlands, Devils Fork State Park, Pine Mountain, Scaly
Mountain, and Bad Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
