...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN CABARRUS AND
CENTRAL MECKLENBURG COUNTIES THROUGH 645 PM EDT...

At 610 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles northeast of Uptown Charlotte, or over Hidden Valley, moving
northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Uptown Charlotte, Northeast Charlotte, East Charlotte, West Concord,
Harrisburg, University City, Reedy Creek Park, The Plaza, Charlotte
Motor Speedway, and Hidden Valley.
