...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN HYDE...DARE AND
TYRRELL COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM EDT...

At 512 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Wanchese to near Buffalo City. Movement
was east at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Kill Devil Hills, Stumpy Point, Manns Harbor, Nags Head, Alligator,
Gum Neck, Mashoes, Manteo, Columbia, East Lake, Woodley, Colington,
Whalebone, Middletown, Newfoundland, Fort Landing, Frying Pan
Landing, Buffalo City, Roanoke Island Festival Park, and Nags Head
Fishing Pier.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
