...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN HYDE...SOUTHEASTERN
DARE AND NORTHEASTERN CARTERET COUNTIES THROUGH 530 AM EDT...

At 434 AM EDT, broadcast media reported a strong thunderstorm near
Ocracoke Lighthouse, or 18 miles southwest of Frisco, moving east at
35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Surface weather station. At 419 am, this thunderstorm 
         produced a 46 mph wind gust near Atlantic.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Frisco, Buxton, Avon, Hatteras Ferry Terminal, Ocracoke Ferry
Terminal, Ocracoke Lighthouse, Avon Pier, and Cape Hatteras
Lighthouse.
