...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL ONEIDA AND
NORTHWESTERN MADISON COUNTIES THROUGH 500 PM EDT...

At 412 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Canastota, or 8 miles northwest of Oneida, moving northeast at 20
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rome, Oneida, Lee, Verona, Vienna, Canastota, Sylvan Beach,
Wampsville, Blossvale, and New London.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
