...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EASTERN GREENVILLE...NORTHWESTERN
SPARTANBURG...NORTHERN ANDERSON AND SOUTHEASTERN PICKENS COUNTIES
THROUGH 645 PM EDT...

At 600 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 13 miles north of
Greenville Downtown to 4 miles south of Easley to 6 miles southeast
of Clemson. Movement was east-northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Greenville Downtown, Anderson, Easley, Greenville Eastside, West
Greenville, Greer, Mauldin, Taylors, Berea, and Welcome.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Heavy downpours are also occurring with these storms and may lead to 
localized ponding of water on roadways. Slow down and use extra 
caution while driving through a downpour.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
