...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Lee, Calhoun,
Clarendon, Sumter, central Orangeburg, southeastern Richland and
southeastern Kershaw Counties through 400 PM EDT...

At 320 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Kellytown to near Orangeburg. Movement was
northeast at 20 mph.

...Boaters on Lake Marion Should Seek Safe Harbor... 

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is 
         possible.

Columbia, Sumter, Orangeburg, Camden, Manning, Bishopville, South
Sumter, Shaw Air Base, McEntire Air Base, Brookdale, St. Matthews,
Summerton, Eastover, Elloree, Oakland, Santee State Park, Mulberry,
Orangeburg County Airport, Congaree National Park, and Alcolu.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 95 and 126.
 Interstate 26 between mile markers 132 and 156.
 Interstate 95 between mile markers 97 and 146.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
