...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN LEA AND
NORTHWESTERN WINKLER COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM CDT/500 PM MDT/...

At 515 PM CDT/415 PM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm near Kermit, moving west at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Lea
and northwestern Winkler Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
