NORTHWESTERN WASHINGTON AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 545 PM EDT...

At 459 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from St. Albans City to near Burlington. Movement
was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Essex Junction, South Burlington, Burlington International Airport,
Burlington, Morrisville, Enosburg Falls, Johnson Village, Jay In
Franklin County, Cambridge, Winooski, Montgomery Center, Westford,
Hyde Park, Montgomery, Colchester, Essex Junction Village, St. Albans
City, Fairfax, Troy, and Williston.

This includes Interstate 89 between mile markers 75 and 120.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

If on or near Lake Champlain, get out of the water and move indoors 
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles 
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close 
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not 
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
