  Starke County in northwestern Indiana...
  Western Marshall County in north central Indiana...
  La Porte County in northwestern Indiana...

* Until 415 PM EDT/315 PM CDT/.

* At 330 PM EDT/230 PM CDT/, severe thunderstorms were located along
  a line extending from near La Crosse to 6 miles northwest of
  Winamac to near Royal Center, moving northeast at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to 
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  South Bend, La Porte, Logansport, Plymouth, Rochester, Westville,
  Monticello, Knox, Winamac, Walkerton, North Liberty, Monon, North
  Judson, Argos, Kingsford Heights, Culver, Wanatah, Francesville,
  Royal Center, and Hamlet.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 65 between mile markers 188 and 190.
 Interstate 80 in Indiana between mile markers 38 and 42.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning
is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT/700 PM CDT/ for
north central and northwestern Indiana.
