* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southern Seneca County in central New York...
  Southwestern Cayuga County in central New York...

* Until 830 PM EDT.

* At 724 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Romulus, or
  near Waterloo, moving southeast at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Romulus, Fayette, Covert, Genoa, Ledyard, Union Springs, Aurora,
  Ovid, Interlaken, and Cayuga.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service
office in Binghamton.

If on or near one of the Finger Lakes, get away from the water and 
move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out 
to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, 
you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter 
now!  Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
